The Stain of Blood in the Sand

Will it ever go away?
How deep will it flow?
Will the sands of time ever bury its shame?
Or will it continue to expand? – staining more red blood in the sand.
Brothers fight brothers as mothers and children die.
Martyrs seem to forget the reasons that they cry.
Who has the courage to stop the bloodshed?
Who amongst the people has the faith,
to stop the stain of blood in the sand?
It doesn’t take a revelation to feel the pain of God.
It is revealed in the pain of the heart and the tears that fall,
for all God’s children of humanity.
Has God failed us or have we failed God?
Has the path to peace been forever obscured by the path to war?
Have our tears of blood in the sand blind the oneness of our eyes?
Why is there war if God is of love and peace?
